A list of collections can be found at the homepage. If you do not select a collection, you will search all of them by default. To search only one, click it on the list.
After you submit a search, you can jump between collections without having to start over. In the top-left portion of the screen, you can click another collection name.
The Newspapers collection contains the articles and obituaries of historic newspapers published from 1690 to 2016. High-resolution images of each item are presented in a functional viewer.
The Obituaries collection contains the obituaries of modern newspapers published from 1977 through today. Individual records are presented in full-text.
The SSDI collection contains records of most Americans from 1937 to current. Individual records are presented in full-text.
The Books collection contains a broad spectrum of printed material published from 1749 - 1900. Some examples are funeral sermons, biographies, broadsides and ship cards. Images of each item are presented in a functional viewer.
The Documents collection contains a variety of U.S. Government publications printed from 1789 - 1994. Some examples are petitions, casualty lists, memorials and pensions. Images of each item are presented in a functional viewer.
