I still don't have her maiden name, but along w/an aforementioned document, not only do I have corresponding documentation; I also have more than enough information to discover not only her name, but should be able to build a profile on her & her family.
Folks busy visiting & hosting one another; among them: our Great Grandparents, Walter & Mary; Grandparents, Ernest & Irene; Great Uncle Bill & Aunt Bertha Schweppenheiser and, last but not least, Great Uncle Charley & Aunt Dorothy (I have to assume because we have never found her name in the papers.) Ordinarily, I excerpt the relevant portion of a column, w/enough surrounding material to provide some of the local color. While my topic occupies but a small space, community life (as history) is as interesting today as it was for readers then. So once in a while, I just have to clip an entire column. Note the mention of Hamburg & the Blue Mountains. Never been there, but incidentally & God willing, that's precisely where I expect to be, on business, next week. How about that?!
